Chief Operating Officer Saba Safiari is an experienced operations leader with an extensive business and entrepreneurship background. His resume includes leadership roles at multiple logistics and consulting organizations.
Many of Mr. Safiari’s skills were honed in the Marine Corp, which he joined in 2006. During his tour of duty, he was deployed to middle east as part of OIF (Operation Iraqi Freedom), as well as to Europe and Africa.
Subsequently Mr. Safiari received a BA in Philosophy from UC Santa Cruz, an MA in Leadership from Marshall University, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. He is also certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
During his career, he held positions at companies including Amazon and Zulily. He has experience in holding himself and the company to a high standard of accountability and results-orientated operations.
Saba’s vast experience from his time in the military, as well as civilian life, provides him with a unique perspective on business issues.
As a former Marine Officer, Saba’s leadership qualities are complemented by his ability to improve on processes while maintaining cost efficiencies. His unique background renders him eminently qualified to act as Chief Operating Officer of Sequence Sciences.
